Municipal Law Enforcement II

Permanent, Full Time
Rate: $ 28.83 per hour (Starting Level 1)
$ 29.69 per hour (After 1 year)
$ 30.58 per hour (After 2 years)
$ 31.50 per hour (After 3 years)

Probation Period: 12 months

Reporting to the Chief Building Official/Director of Planning, the Municipal Law Enforcement Officer II will enforce the provisions of municipal by-laws such as parking, animal control, building, property standards and other by-laws as required. Must be available to work flexible hours which may include weekend.

Qualifications:

Post- Secondary Diploma in a related field (Law Enforcement);
Valid Ontario "G" Class Driver's License;
Membership with the Municipal Law Enforcement Association of Ontario is an asset;
Knowledge of Courtroom procedures;
Strong interpersonal communication skills, negotiation, problem solving and customer service;
Fluency in both official languages is a requirement.
