Summer Student Employment Opportunity

Seasonal: May to August 2025 (Max. 15 weeks)
Rate: $18 to $22 per hour

Airport Labourer : Grass cutting, whipping, assisting with airport operations, as well as any other labourer duties required.

Beautification Labourer: Grass cutting and whipping of parks and fields, planting and maintenance of flower beds, painting, cleaning, garbage collection and other duties as assigned.

Cemetery Labourer: Grass cutting, whipping, assisting with burials, installing cement foundations, as well as any other labourer duties required.

Tourism Advisor: The Tourism Advisor will be responsible for the daily operations of the local museum and travel information centre (Welcome Centre). This role is pivotal in showcasing our community positively and welcomingly. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, offering essential travel information, responding to inquiries, and promoting local attractions and activities. The Tourism Advisor will conduct guided tours of the museum and gallery, share local history and insights, and facilitate sales in the gift shop. They will assist in event planning and coordination of the Kap Kraze Tailgate Country Derby, create promotional content, and actively use social media to boost engagement, brand visibility, and encourage tourism and overnight stays. May perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Fluent in both official languages

Public Works Engineering: Assist the Asset and Capital Manager in gathering relevant information; Assist in the review of construction projects; Assist in the creation of AutoCAD Drawings and Assist in the topographic surveying. Requirements: G class driver's license; Enrolled in an Engineering or related field in either College or University. 

Public Works Labourer: Assist the Public Works Staff with general maintenance; Assist with road repairs and a variety of construction projects in support of the Public Works Department. Requirements: G class driver's license.
