How to make a presentation or deputation to Council

In order to appear on the Joint Committees of the Whole or Council agenda, individuals or groups shall notify the Clerk in writing no later than the Wednesday preceding a Council meeting by providing the Clerk with a written copy of the presentation, unless otherwise approved by the Chief Administrative Officer or Mayor. Individuals or groups shall be limited in speaking to not more than ten (10) minutes. Verbal presentations to Council may be made in English or French.

Committees and Boards

Standing committees are appointed by Council to consider specific matters. Council currently has six (6) standing committees:

• Finance
• Economic Development, Community Well-Being and Recreation
• Planning and Corporate Services
• Protective Services and Emergency Management
• Public Works
• Health

Advisory boards and committees may be appointed by Council from time to time to serve in an advisory capacity. Council currently has a variety of advisory boards and committees.
