Land Ambulance Services

The Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board (CDSSAB) is the Designated Delivery Agent responsible for the provision of Land Ambulance Services within the District of Cochrane.

The Land Ambulance Service provides quick transportation and initiates pre-hospital care for patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Land Ambulance Services coverage is from the townships of Fauquier to Opasatika, as well as where the Ontario Power Generation and bush operations take place, both north and south of the region.

The Fundamental Principles of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are:

  • The service will be accessible, integrated, seamless, accountable and responsive
  • The land ambulance service provided is in accordance with the Ambulance Act Regulations, and other relevant legislation.
