Kapuskasing Fire Department

The Kapuskasing Fire Department responds to calls related to fires, motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies and hazardous spills within the Town Limits.

They are also responsible for:

If you detect fire in a building, a container, a vehicle or on land, call 911 immediately .

MISSION STATEMENT:
Our mission is to save lives and protect property from fire and other emergencies within the Town of Kapuskasing through public education, code enforcement and incident response.

The Town of Kapuskasing employs:

  • 1 Fire Chief
  • 3 Full-Time Captains
  • 1 Full-Time Lieutenant
  • 4 Full-Time Firefighters
  • 1 Full-Time Relief Firefighter
  • 21 Volunteer Firefighters

Fire Safety

The Kapuskasing Fire Department is dedicated in providing fire safety awareness programs to educate our residents and reduce the risk of community dangers, such as:

  • Promoting smoke alarm programs
  • Distributing fire safety education material to residents
  • Conducting inspections upon complaints or when requested to assist with code compliance
